CHESTER MOOR BARN
Northern Bureau for Architecture successfully secured Part Q Permitted Development permission to convert an existing steel frame barn into a large family home in the Country Durham countryside.
Guided by the planning requirement to utilise the existing structure, the design uses a monochrome palette of materials to emphasise the original form of the agricultural building and create a strong silhouette.
Internally the large volume has been generously sub-divided to create a series of rooms of varying proportions, each in relation to their particular use.
